"With the expedition’s Bicentennial
beginning in 2004, the timing of the book turned out just
right." Donna Syvertson, "The Missoulian,"
October 27, 2002, Missoula, Montana
". . . in all of the accounts written about the
Journey of Discovery in which Meriwether Lewis and William Clark
led an expedition to discover the fabled Northwest Passage, few
told the story from the viewpoint of the ordinary crew members
of the "Corps of Discovery." . . . The book, all 695
pages of it, is an easy read as it fills in the gaps left by
historical accounts of the journey from Ohio to the Pacific
Ocean."
Emily Hone, "The Blackfoot Morning News," October 15,
2002, Blackfoot, Idaho" After non-stop
reading Wyman’s first novel Mission,
I needed to check out her other book. WOW! This
lady can weave a web of suspense, intrigue and personal
connection! You will be so curious about the amazing
personalities of the story, don’t plan on going to sleep too
early! THE BEST PART: The setting is so historically accurate
that you cannot help but wonder how much research went into the
book. I heartily recommend both this and Mission to
anyone who loves a great story, colorful characters and the
untold stories of America's REAL history. Brett Weiss,
